大有村原名「竹頭角」約在清朝雍正時期
已經有先民進行開墾，早期附近多有竹叢開墾過程中到處可見堅硬石頭，而有「竹頭角」之稱。
八堡圳穿過大有聚落而致使此地更為何是開墾種植，並有許多先民聚落，這古厝群正也說明著這裡悠久的歷史。
這裡有數個古厝群，主要為「穎川世澤」陳家古厝群以及「陳順昌號」兩個較為著名的的古厝，，「穎川世澤」陳家古厝群為一進一院的傳統閩式三合院，外埕有月池與古亭畚，埕前設一院門，左右各兩護龍，最外一護龍為近期陸續增建。
「陳順昌號」建於1933年，亦為傳統三合院建築，正身面寬五開間，前有軒亭，護龍間天井設有牆門出入。
兩間住宅內有許多精緻木雕、石雕，彩繪繁多，多由知名匠師所為，正是古厝深具價值的文化資產，由於社區改造附近開始有一些步道及消息區可供觀光客停留休息，但由於目前古厝內仍有人居住，如要入內參觀需先預約聯繫。

Dayou Village named as Zu-Tou-Jiao at first was started for reclamation around Yong Zheng Emperor during Qing Dynasty. There are many hard rocks in the bamboo clumps during the reclamation. This gave it the name of Zu-Tou-Jiao. Babo Canal pass through the Dayou Village is the reason for people to start the reclamation and planting here, and many ancestors tribe here.
There are few groups of historical houses here. The Chen’s family“Ying Chuan Shi Zhe” and the “Chen Shun Cang Hao” are two of the most famous historical houses.
The “Ying Chuan Shi Zhe” group of historical houses of Chen’s family is courtyard house in traditional Fujianese style with pond in moon shape. There is a main door at the front and two rooms call as Hu Long at the two sides of house. The outermost Hu Long was built recently.
“Chen Shun Cang Hao” built in 1933 years in the traditional courtyard house structure. It has four rooms with two at each side of the main hall and Xuan Ting(pavilion) at the front. Its Hu Long has an entrance.
There are many wood crave, stone crave and painting from famous artisan as the valuable cultural resources in these two historical houses. There are some walking tracks and rest zone around here for traveller to stop by. Call for reservation before your visitation because there are still people live in the historical house.
